Slot roasting

If you prefer control over the roasting process, consider our slot roasting option. You roast green coffee at our hub using our Diedrich coffee roasters, equipment and workspace. This cost-effective choice allows you complete control over the process of roasting and packaging. Good for the finances - good for the planet!

Slot roasting is booked via our office and available in 4-hour sessions: morning (10 am to 2 pm) or afternoon (2 pm to 6 pm). The cost is £70 per hour, plus the cost of green beans. As a guide, an IR-12 can produce 40KG of roasted coffee per hour- so production cost is around £2 per KG.

This service requires the use of specialty green coffee from our partner, Mercanta. A selection of Mercanta Micro coffees will be available on-site. We also offer a 20kg start-up kit on-site from Mercanta Micro, featuring a selection of four specialty coffees of the highest quality. Details are available upon request.

If you require specific coffees, please refer to their website www.coffeehunter.com for more details, or we can connect you with one of their dedicated coffee account managers for advice.

World class roasts require world class equipment!
