The Diedrich 'Specialty' Roasters: the DR-3, IR-5 and IR-12, are the perfect solution for specialty coffee roasters and start-ups. All Diedrich roasters are designed and built to be consistent and controllable for every roast. The smaller entry-level series roasters are also designed with ease of installation, operation, and maintenance in mind. The commercial roasters are designed for expanding roasteries. The innovative process design capabilities are specifically designed to roast larger batch sizes confidently and seamlessly.
DR-3
The DR-3 is the latest addition to the Diedrich range. Formerly the IR-2.5 it has been increase in capacity by 20%, a table has been added and touch screen included as standard. This entry level roaster is small enough to fit into a cafe but large enough to roast upto 10kg per hour. Choose any colour you wish to give that wow factor.

IR-5
We use two of the IR-5 roasters on our roasting courses with the London School of Coffee in Fulham. They're hugely flexible and easy to use. We teach students who have never roasted before on these for good reason. Able to roast as little as 20% or 1kg per batch, this helps us give clients the 'big' roaster experience without using hundreds of kilos of green coffee.
Maxed out, the IR-5 can roast up to 17kg per hour - enough for roasting up to 25 tons a year. This is a great cafe/roastery option.

IR-12
The legendary IR-12 is our most popular roaster. The go to start-up specialty roaster of choice. It's easy to install, easy to operate and easy to maintain - add to this a small footprint and you get a great solution. The added airflow inherent with a Diedrich roasting system gives you a much cleaner coffee and more flexible approach. This roaster can roast between 2kg and 12kg batches, or just over 40kg per hour of consistently beautiful filter or espresso roasts.

DR-25
The second of our new roasters the new DR-25 replaces the old CR-25 and IR-24 models. When you begin to grow and hit about 50% capacity on your existing IR-12 then you'll probably start thinking you need to get another roaster. The DR-25 is the perfect next size roaster to scale upto. Giving you an increase in capacity of 200% (if you have an IR12) at cost of just over $100,000, for a fully automated roaster, with loader and cyclone. This is an affordable upgrade to your roastery, giving you an extra 600kg per day or 150 tons per year, whilst crucially cutting your cost per kilo (in labour costs) in half.
